Advancement of Gene Therapy in Cancer

Abstract
Gene therapy is the transfer of specific genetic material to modify the encoding of gene product or to change the biological product of tissues for management of various diseases .this review summarizes the principles of genomes editing approaches such as,meganucleases ,transcription activator like effector Nucleases,zinc finger Nucleases and CRISPR associated Nucleases with its mechanisms.this review also explain about the types of gene delivery system as viral and non viral delivery systems.it also summarizes about some gene therapy strategies which help in treatment of cancer(suicide gene therapy,tumor suppressor gene activation and Immunotherapy). It has been observed that gene therapy on cancer treatment faces wife range of challenges and limitations. Gene therapy is considered to be safe because it is harmless than chemotherapy. It is promising in treatment of cancer because earlier it was very difficult to treat cancer.The FDA And EMA has approved CAR T Cell therapy for the treatment of cancer such as blood, leukemia,multiple myeloma.
