COMPARATIVE PHENOLOGICAL STUDIES OF THE GENUS RHYNCHOSIA LOUREIRO AND STYLOSANTHES SW. IN HOSADURGA AND HOLALKERE THALUKS OF CHITRADURGA DISTRICT, KARNATAKA

Abstract

The Genus Rhynchosia loureiro and Stylosanthes Sw. are described in detail in the two thaluks of the Chitradurga district, Holalkere and Hosadurga, in terms of distribution, natural habitat, habit, and comparative phenology. From 2018 through 2020, phenological research were conducted, with data being recorded and thoroughly analysed. In the research area, the author has described all phenological aspects such as vegetative and reproductive phenophases on Rhynchosia capitata(Roth)DC., Rhynchosia minima (L.) DC. Var. minima, Stylosanthes fruticosa (Retz.) Alst., and Stylosanthes hamata (L.) Taub.
