CONDUCTING POLYMERS AND ITS COMPOSITES
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article reviews recent advances in conductive polymer composites. It is discovered and established that Conducting polymers (CPs) are an exciting class of polymer which generates electronic materials, which led to observe an increasing interest since their discovery. In addition to it, conducting polymers (CPs) characteristically exhibit low band-gap energies. Such properties are useful in preparation of applications in sensors, semiconductors, anticorrosion coatings, batteries, and display devices, among others. Moreover, due to their electronic and optic properties they have many advantages, as compared to the non-conducting polymers. This study comprises not merely about their properties of conducting polymers and composites but their applications too such as Supercapacitors, Light emitting diodes (LEDs), Solar cells, Field effect transistor (FET), and Biosensors.
