Abstract

The hetero-Fenton catalyst Fe2(MoO4)3 was prepared by simple co-precipitation method and it was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-vis-DRS) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Fe2(MoO4)3 was used for hetero-Fenton photocatalyst for the degradation of Rhodamine-B (Rh-B) under solar light. The effect of various operational parameters like catalyst concentration, initial solution pH, H2O2 dosage, initial dye concentration reusability on photodegradation were investigated and the optimum conditions are reported.
