Abstract

In our present research we synthesized novel (E)-3-(((4-(bis(2-chloroethyl)amino)naphthalen-1-yl)imino)methyl)-4- chloro-2H-chromen-2-one derivatives possessing coumarine as basic nucleus and N1,N1-bis(2-chloroethyl)naphthalene- 1,4-diamine attached through Schiff base. Characterizations of synthesized compounds were carried by IR, NMR and mass spectral analysis. All synthesized compounds were tested for antimicrobial using cup plate method against standard drug. All the compounds showed moderate to good antimicrobial activity and anti-fungal activity compared to standard.
